Alice Rothwell, a young admirer of the Canadian poet Marjorie Pickthall, accumulated a file on the poet including letters from Pickthall, copies of poems in the poet's handwriting and an essay on Pickthall by Miss Rothwell. Miss Rothwell, a student of the University of Toronto died (ca.1912) of a ruptured appendix.

Terry Fuchs was an author and instructor at St. Lawrence College (Kingston, Ontario). He was the son of Harold and Helen (nee Pfander) Fuchs, of Cambridge, Ontario. He co-wrote "Their Enduring Spirit The History of Frontenac Provincial Park 1783-1990."

Robert Ayre (1900-1980) was born in Napinka, Manitoba. He worked for various newspapers (the Telegram, the Free Press and the Montreal Gazette) and from 1944 to 1949 he was editor of Canadian Art. He later (1950-1970) was Art Critic for the Montreal Star.

Mr. Ayre has also written a number of short stories and is the author of Sketco the Raven (1961), based on West Coast Indian legends.

Benjamin Nathan Kropp (189?-1993) was a professor in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario. He was the first Jewish professor to receive full tenure at Queen's University.

Physical Plant Services, formerly known as Campus Engineering Services, was established in 1995. In early 2021, it was rebranded as Facilities. It is responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of the University buildings, grounds and infrastructure. It also supplies a wide variety of services (heat, water, gas, oil, and sewage) to the University, as well as steam heat to three local hospitals and most campus residences. It reports to the Vice Principal (Finance and Administration).
