Dr. Delos Everett Bell, a physician, was born in Brockville, Ontario in 1892. He graduated in Medicine from Queen's University in 1914 and trained in surgery at Kingston General Hospital. Dr. Bell served in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dr. Bell was Chief Medical Officer of the Workmen's Compensation Board of Ontario. He was a Fellow of the Toronto Academy of Medicine.
Dr. Bell and his wife, Eva, had one son (Dr. R. Douglas Bell). He passed away on 17 March 1972 in Toronto.

William Bell (1780-1857) was a Presbyterian minister, ordained in Edinburgh in 1817. That year he came to Canada as minister for the Scottish immigrants who had formed the Perth settlement. For many years he did a large amount of home mission work over the county of Lanark and part of Leeds. Increasing infirmity compelled him to cease his ministrations early in 1857 and he died later that year.
