The fonds consists of rough drafts, penultimate typescripts and final manuscripts (second copy) of the first edition of Muscles Alive, published by the Williams and Wilkins Company, Baltimore, 1962; also typescript of second edition published in 1967.
The collection consists of transcriptions of meeting minutes of the shareholders and annual reports of the Canadian Land and Emigration Company, 1862-1881, as well as transciptions of Directors of the CLE Company from 1868 to 1881. Also includes a 'Diary of general chit-chat and the farm commencing Oct. 1, 1870' and almanacs for 1865 and 1866.
Fonds consists of correspondence; certificates; articles; speeches; reprints of articles, photographs; and momentoes, including a scrapbook presented to R.O. Earl, by his former students, upon his retirement.

The correspondents include Albert Einstein, Erwin Shrodinger, Harlow Shapley, Henry Norris Russell, Walter S. Adams and J.C. Kapetyn. Also included are two copies of pages from the manuscripts, Differentiation of any tensor (1918) and Mass-luminosity equation (1924).
The fonds consists of notes containing drawings of Kingston properties made by Ellis during searches at the Registry Office;a paper read on 4 Janaury 1938, over CFRC Radio entitled, 'Early Surveys of Kingston and Vicinity'; record of hydraulic experiments and measurements, 1926-1946; historical notes on laboratory equipment in Carruthers Hall; and photographs of various members of civil engineering classes, 1928 and 1931.

Fonds consists of a letter from Colley Foster from Kingston to his wife, 1840, a photograph of Foster from a miniature, pencil drawing of Chief Big Smoke, a copy of a grant of a town lot in Kingston and a family tree.
